- The Costa Brava is the
northernmost stretch of the Catalan coast. Most of the seafront is very rugged,
with well-established tourist resorts (Palamós, Sant Feliu, Blanes, Lloret,
Roses, Begur) and seafaring villages where world famous artists have gathered
for years (Cadaqués, Tossa, El Port de la Selva).
- There are handsome medieval
villages (Pals, Peratallada), major museums and historic buildings (in Girona,
Figueres and elsewhere), and attractive land- and seascapes. Carefully prepared
still and sparkling wines (cava) are sold under the Empordà-Costa Brava label.
Top-quality tourist facilities are available.
